Dumbbell Rows | How to Perform Dumbbell Rows | PWRBLD App

Performing a dumbbell row is a great exercise for targeting your back muscles, particularly your lats and rhomboids. Building a big, strong back helps with other movements from your bench to your squat.

Here are the steps to perform a dumbbell row:

  1. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and hold a dumbbell in one hand with your palm facing your body. Keep your back straight and your core engaged.
  2. Place your other hand on a bench or other stable object in front of you for support.
  3. Bend your knees slightly and hinge forward at your hips, keeping your back straight and your head in a neutral position.
  4. Pull the dumbbell up towards your chest by bending your elbow and squeezing your shoulder blade towards your spine.
  5. Pause at the top of the movement, then slowly lower the dumbbell back down to the starting position.
  6. Repeat for the desired number of reps, then switch sides and repeat.

Remember to keep your movements slow and controlled, and focus on squeezing your back muscles as you lift the weight. Additionally, be sure to use an appropriate weight that allows you to perform the exercise with proper form.
